FINDING OUR NICHE
It’s more than just a sell sheet; it’s a touch point.
It’s more than a sales pitch; it’s a moment of truth.
It’s more than a campaign; it’s an opportunity to elevate.
It’s more than a product launch; it’s do or die.
It’s more than keeping up with the competition; it’s leaving them in the dust.
We love our city. And we work hard for the clients who also call it home, but our commitment to Columbus goes deeper. That’s why we started our Voluntree program. Through it, treetree contributes more than 80 hours each year to our local community, giving trees the opportunity to donate their time to a cause that matters to them.
THE LITTLE TREE THAT COULD
treetree was the name of a bonsai. And it was dead. Until it wasn’t. The day the agency was started, treetree began to blossom and it was taken as a sign. So we’re named after the “little tree that could.”
FAST IS FUN
In 2014, 2015 and 2016, we were recognized for our high-speed growth by both Inc. Magazine and Columbus Business First.
When we landed on the Inc. Magazine Inc. 5000 as one of America’s Fastest Growing Companies for the second time in 2015 at #652, we felt abundantly grateful. And we wanted to put those good vibes out into the world. So every time we felt grateful, we sent the universe our appreciation for this honor by sending a handwritten note. They went to parents, partners, mentors, children, high school teachers, clients, local donut shop owners, doggy daycare workers and many more. We sent 652 in total.
CULTURE IS GOOD FOR BUSINESS
Our VP, Client Service, Rachel Hillman, was featured as a guest blogger for Columbus CEO in 2015. She wrote about the immeasurable value of culture as a business practice. And it’s a lesson treetree lives by.
A SLICE OF HOME
The treehouse is filled with personal touches, including tree slices and trunks from Becca’s backyard that have been turned into décor and furniture. The treehouse is our second home, and we want it to feel that way.
In 2020, we moved into our perch in the Short North, complete with a birds’ eye view of Columbus’ arts district. Surrounded by some of the city’s most talented artists, designers, restauranteurs and movers & shakers, we are energized by the creative culture outside our treehouse windows and eager to welcome old friends and new when it’s safe to do so.
THE FAST 50
In 2015, we landed a spot on the Columbus Business First list of the 50 fastest growing companies in the city, coming in at #18.
Parental leave is important. And complicated. Our CEO took two. That got us thinking about how we could lessen the impact on employers without compromising the experience of the new parent (or their team counterparts). That’s where our special project management offering was born. And, to better care for our team, we launched our own 12-week paid parental leave policy for moms, dads, birth or adoption in 2016.
BARK UP OUR TREE
We don’t just talk culture—we live it. And we’re proud of the fact that we’ve been one of Columbus’ Best Places to Work three times since we first opened our doors. This recognition means more to us than any hardware that could sit on our shelves, and we’ll continue to work hard to earn a spot on that list.
