Nationwide was in the middle of construction on their new Grandview Yard building, and it was clearly going to feel different than their other spaces. With modern finishes and floor plans, the building needed environmental branding that bridged the gap between the Nationwide heritage and the sleek, updated feel of the facility.
This was treetree’s first opportunity to fully brand an entire Nationwide building, and our client challenged us to push them out of their comfort zone. We partnered with both the brand and corporate real estate teams as well as their architectural partner, HOK, to collaborate and create. We identified areas for the key messaging, recommended graphics and explored ways to bring in color and unique materials that felt right for the space and for the brand.
Not only did we design, we also specified materials, coordinated with third-party vendors, reviewed samples and supervised installations, ensuring brand and creative integrity every step of the way. Ultimately, we developed an aesthetic that made such an impact, it has become the standard for all environmental branding in new and updated facilities nationwide.
