To combat a shortage of hourly worker candidates in a competitive warehousing market, DHL Supply Chain’s recruitment strategy focused on creating an impressive and engaging application experience at its flagship facility. The space needed to elevate the brand, connect with committed candidates and provide a preview of the company’s employee experience—with just one visit.
Because the candidates visiting the warehouse were in high demand, but were short on time, DHL Supply Chain’s space needed to instantly make applicants feel welcomed and wanted. That called for creative firepower.
Creating an elevated and streamlined applicant experience in a busy warehouse while it was undergoing major construction meant we had to be nimble, efficient and thoughtful with regard to both functionality and feasibility.
From the waiting room to the interview rooms, treetree created key moments to deliver the DHL Supply Chain message of innovation with regard to the work and the employee experience. Incorporating core values and employee imagery throughout the space gave a first impression of what candidates could expect. As a collaborative partner to the human resources, construction and facilities teams, treetree helped plan a spatial brand experience that made applying, screening and onboarding simple and centralized, complete with an anything-but-typical warehouse break room.
